The MV1-D1312-xx-G2 camera is available in four models offering speeds of 27(-40), 55(-80), 68(-100) and 135(-200) frames per second allowing for application flexibility.

The -40 and -80 models are well suited for standard and multiple camera applications and systems. The -100 model pushes the limit of the GigE interface. When used with powerful computer hardware and high-performance drivers the -100 provides a convenient solution even for challenging machine vision applications. Applications requiring multiple high-speed GigE Vision cameras can use multi-channel GigE cards or GigE frame grabbers designed to reduce the load of the computer hardware. The recently released DR1-D1312-200-G2-8 model completes the new G2 product series and offers a GigE Vision compliant solution with twice the frame rate performance of other GigE Vision cameras on the market using the Photonfocus proprietary Double Speed technology.

SDK’s for Windows 32 and 64-bit and RedHat Linux 32 and 64-bit operating systems are available for download on the Photonfocus website at no charge. Photonfocus also offers a GigE support package if necessary. The updated camera manual now offers guidance on how to use Photonfocus GigE Vision CMOS cameras with popular 3rd party software libraries.

Vivid Engineering Releases New Camera Link Products

Vivid Engineering has just released several new products extending their industry leading line of Camera Link accessory products.

The Photonfocus DR1-D1312-200-G2-8 camera is capable of 577fps at VGA and 135fps at 1.4MP resolution which makes it a perfect fit for applications such as motion analysis and failure detection while offering a simpler, more cost-effective solution for demanding high-speed machine vision applications. Recently companies such as NorPix (Montreal, Canada – www.norpix.com), have implemented complete support for the DR1 camera into their popular StreamPix capture software and successfully integrated and deployed the camera into their multi-camera turnkey systems.

“The Photon Focus DR1 gives us the ability to use a single GigE port to record 500 fps at VGA resolution. With our TroublePix software for high speed troubleshooting, we can now use a laptop for applications requiring portability and needing over 500 fps at VGA resolution from one or two cameras. In the past, this type of application was only do-able using cameras with on board memory.“ says Luc Nocente of NorPix.

Since the initial release, Photonfocus has continued to expand support for the DR1 camera. In order to evaluate the DR technology users can download the DR1-Evaluator program and test performance with their own sample images prior to purchasing a camera. A user manual is available with information on how to use the DR1 camera with today’s popular software libraries.

Contact Systematic Vision today to discuss how the DR1 camera can fit your application requirements.

Photonfocus extends its 3D product portfolio with the new 3D03 camera designed for high speed triangulation rates. The MV1-D2048x1088-3D03-760-G2-8 camera is based on the 2048x1088 CMOSIS CMV2000 CMOS sensor and follows the highly successful Photonfocus 3D01 and 3D02 3D cameras by implementing the Aqsense peak algorithm to ensure a sub pixel precision for the determination of the triangulation line and accurate transmission to the FPGA in the camera. In addition to triangulation rates of up to 8450 profiles per second (2048x32 pixels) and simultaneously capturing 2 elevation profiles, the 3D03 camera can also output 2D frame data. This allows the user considerable flexibility with configuring the lasers and cameras and ultimately reduces the cost of a triangulation system because only one camera is required for both laser line peak extraction and 2D image capture.

The new 3D03 camera features a GigE Vision and GenICam compliant interface which allows for an efficient and cost-effective set-up of high performance multi-camera 3D systems. The new 3D03 camera is fully supported by an updated version of the Photonfocus 3D Suite software and SDK offering numerous new features. The 3D03 GigE-Vision and GenICam compatible interface allows the users to build their application using popular machine vision libraries that support GigE-Vision and GenICam standard devices. A short user guide gives you a quick introduction on how to process the 3D data with machine vision libraries.

The 3D03 is also available as an OEM module or smaller form-factor Board Level camera allowing you to easily integrate it directly into your application. A flex adapter is available to support applications requiring custom angles (Scheimpflug principle). Both form-factors are fully supported by the 3D suite software.
