MV1-D1312-3D02-160-G2-8: The new 3D02 camera extends Photonfocus’ 3D camera line with a GigE interface, a Photonfocus A1312 high dynamic CMOS imager and proven peak detection technology. The 3D02 camera features scan rates up to 3,260fps (Link). 

MV1-D2048x1088(I/C)-80-G2-10: Photonfocus presents their first 2 Megapixel GigE camera series for standard applications this is based on the popular CMOSIS CMV2000 sensor.  Cameras are available with a NIR sensor with higher NIR sensitivity (I-version) or with a colour sensor (C-Version) (Link).

MV1-D1312C-40/80-G2-12: Due to the increased demand for colour cameras with reduced colour noise and a GigE interface, Photonfocus has developed its own A1312C colour sensor and now offers two camera models featuring 27fps(-40) and 54fps(-80) (Link).

HD1-D1312-160-CL-12 / 80-G2-12: The new HD1 CMOS camera features independent exposure control of the sensor’s odd and even fields and using interpolation produces high dynamic range images.  In contrast to the LinLog® technology, which is based on a logarithmic compression of the top intensity values, the HD1 technology is based on an interpolation method with linear characteristic curves.  Both features can be used in conjunction with each other.  The HD1 camera is available with a Camera Link (108fps) or GigE (54fps) interface (Link). 

DR1-D1312IE-200-G2-8: The DR1-D1312IE-200-G2-8 camera is released for motion analysis applications with NIR markers (Link).



MV1-D1312(I/IE)-CL series ASCII Control: All Camera Link (-CL) models of the MV1-D1312(I/IE) series can now be controlled via ASCII protocols (Link). 

Binning-IP module for Photonfocus CMOS image sensors: Photonfocus has developed a binning module specifically for cameras using the A1312 and A2080 CMOS image sensors, further enhancing these cameras for hyperspectral imaging applications.  With the binning feature the user can further increase the already very high full well capacity of Photonfocus sensors herewith the sensor can provide the high dynamic range needed in spectroscopical applications. Combined with the MROI (multiple regions of interest) feature, the user gets quality and characteristics which are tailored for hyperspectral imaging. The module is available in cameras with a Camera Link or GigE interface as well as an OEM module. 



3D-Suite: The new 3D02 camera was added to the existing 3D Suite. The 3D Suite fully supports the line scan functionality with various SDK examples (Link).

PFInstaller: The new Photonfocus PF Installer now features all Photonfocus camera software environments, allowing the user to easily implement their software (Link). 

ASCII Protocol: The ASCII protocol for the alternative control of the Photonfocus cameras, originally available on the 4 Megapixel camera series MV1-D2080 is now also available for the MV1-D1312 and the MV1-D2048x1088 series (Link). 

Integration of the DR1-D1312-200-G2-8 in MATLAB: The fast GigE camera DR1-D1312-200-G2 with up to 585 fps @ VGA resolution is now integrated into the MATLAB environment. MathWorks’ MATLAB CENTRAL features examples integrating the demodulation of the double rate images allowing the use of the DR1 camera in combination with their acquisition tool box. CameraLink Base 3 Tap Mode: Silicon Software has implemented the Camera Link Standard for the 3-tap monochrome mode used in all Photonfocus -240 cameras.

Photonfocus has recertified through TÜV Nord Germany its corporate quality policy in CMOS camera design and development. Special attention was placed on the development process and order fulfilment of customer solutions.  This certification demonstrates Photonfocus’ continued commitment to the quality standards put in place by corporate quality policy in 2003.

Photonfocus presence at fairs and vision shows

Photonfocus exhibited products last month at the Control in Stuttgart and at the Vision Show in Boston.  The new 3D and Smart Camera Series generated a lot of interest at both shows.  In early June these new products were also exhibited by our longstanding sales partners at the Vision & Robotics Show in the Netherlands and the Image Sensing Show Yokohama, Japan.  Photonfocus is currently preparing to showcase new and exciting products at this year’s Vision Show in Stuttgart, Germany.
